Can Learning Content AIQ Create Multimodality Courses?
Michael: Can Learning Content AIQ create learning content in multiple modalities from my legacy course assets? I’m joined by Jeff Fissel, VP of Technology and one of the minds behind Content AIQ, to find out. Jeff, are you and Content AIQ up for the challenge?
Jeff: Absolutely. I’m excited to talk with you about this today, Michael, and show everyone what we can do with the power of this technology.
Michael: All right, let’s crack those knuckles. Jeff, what’s the first step?
Jeff: The first step is to ground the tool on relevant information. We often hear concerns about generative AI making things up or hallucinating. The key to mitigating this is building trusted knowledge bases of content and working only from that trusted knowledge. This comes from your organization’s specific knowledge or existing learning content, such as videos. So, we start by ensuring we have a good understanding of that content and get it loaded into the system.

What Content Can the AI Course Creator Work with and How Is It Updated?
Michael: Give me some examples of the kind of content that AIQ likes to “eat,” if you will. I’m just coming off lunch, so I’m still a little hungry.
Jeff: Learning Content AIQ can work with all sorts of content and it can keep all this content up to date. It’s built on the secure Microsoft tech stack so it loves Microsoft formats such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and more. But we’ve also spent a lot of time making sure it accepts eLearning files such as SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, and you can upload those zip files directly into the tool and it will do the tedious job of unpacking and organization for you.
Once we fill the pipeline with content, the parsing agents we’ve built in the tool come into play. They start to understand what’s going on because, in most cases, you’re not working off a single file. You have lots of files that might even have contradicting information. We use a series of parser agents to read through the content, understand the core topics and themes, and build an index of that information. It’s a Human+AI equation, where we prompt the user to review and vet the information before it proceeds.

How Is Learning Content AIQ Different?
Michael: Why would I want to use AIQ versus something like ChatGPT?
Jeff: That’s a great question. AIQ is designed to work with your specific knowledge bases and content, ensuring that the information is accurate and relevant. In a workspace, you can focus on grounded information relevant to a specific project or initiative. You might have knowledge bases covering many topics, but you can create a workspace to focus only on specific information, like leadership content. This helps organize and ground the information the LLM works on as it builds outputs.
How Can Learning Content AIQ Create Multimodality Content and Collaborate with Teams?
Michael: So, the knowledge base is like a special mix I can draw upon, and a workspace is like a collaborative laboratory where colleagues can work without sifting through all the legacy content. Is that fair to say?
Jeff: Exactly. Now, let’s talk about multimodality content. We can create course outlines, video scripts, podcast scripts, and more. For example, we’ve created AI agents that understand what makes a good learning podcast. They can prompt you with the right questions, pull the right information, and draft the script. You can then use synthetic audio generation tools to create the podcast.

Michael: That’s pretty cool. What are some other use cases for this technology?
Jeff: We can generate course outlines, scripts, and even assessments. The tool accelerates what people are doing today and helps them do more by automating tasks they don’t want to do, like generating assessment questions with correct and incorrect feedback.
Michael: Jeff, you’ve made an AIQ believer out of me. Where can our viewers find out more about this amazing new platform?
Jeff: Check out the GP Strategies YouTube page for more AIQ adventures.
